It's always a good day to open a new guitar. This one is a 2022 Gibson J35 '30s Faded. That might be one of the longest model names I've ever seen on the Gibson label inside the guitar.
I did not know that there was a J35 until they announced it as a part of the new Faded series. Turns out, there's actually some history to it and they have done a few special runs of them over the years. This one, being a part of the Faded series, has a thinner than usual finish and has a basic wood tone to it. It does have the LR Baggs pickup in it, but I'm not going to use it in this video. I'll save that for the comparison videos.
