Milford Sound is a fiord with temperate rainforests in Fiordland National Park located in the southwest of the south island, New Zealand.
The drive starts at Te Anau Downs, 33 km north of Te Anau, a gate city to Milford Sound.
As the car goes further into the valleys of Milford Sound, the vegetation gradually changes to a forest with many ferns.
