Being Black in Britain often comes with a constant, reminder — subtle or loud — that you’re seen as “less than.”
In this clip, we speak openly about lived experiences, unfiltered truths, and the emotional labour of constantly having to remake ourselves to fit into spaces that were never built for us.
As Alexis Carrel said: “Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.”
For Black people, that remaking has not been a choice. It’s been a response to history being erased, diluted, or stripped away — again and again.
But here’s the line we draw.
Enough is enough.
Being Black requires no apology.
Black is not something to soften, explain, or minimise.
Black is beautiful — and it deserves to be embraced, protected, and celebrated.
