About Sissu:
Sissu is a small town in the Lahaul valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is around 40 km from Manali and located on the right bank of Chandra river. It is located at (10,235 ft) above sea level. Sissu is famous for its beautiful views, lake & waterfall.


How to reach Sissu:
Sissu is 28 km from Solang valley and 42 Km from Manali, We can easily reach there via Atal Tunnel in any season, depend on weather we can react there on bike, normal car or by 4X4 vehicle (Specially snow on road).

Our Journey:
On 31st Dec 2021 we decided to visit Solang valley Manali to enjoy snow and snow activities. We started our journey early in the morning at 6:30 from our hotel so that we can reach Solang Valley as early as possible and can get back on time to avoid Heave Traffic Jam in this route. When we reach Solang, it was very cold there and after breakfast there we visit to activity ground, we found that there is no snow there to enjoy the activities. So we decided to visit Atal tunnel and Sissu, We hire Local 4X4 car to reach Sissu and via Atal Tunnel covering a distance of 30 KM we reach Sissu at 9 am in Morning.

When can we go Sissu-
We can reach Sissu any time in any season/month via Atal Tunnel, then only condition is the Security allowed you to cross the Atal Tunnel with your vehicle, 4X4 Vehicle are always allowed to cross in any season, but in heavy snow fall, normal car's are not allowed to drive on that road. In Winters 2 wheeler are not allowed specially in the month of December or January due to snow on road

Hotels, Food, Network:
Hotels are easily available in Sissu, and variety of food is available in local market, Network coverage is good there.
