There is a market segment that is acquiring more and more importance in recent years, and that is that of medium-sized engines. For years neglected and abandoned to itself, lately it is enjoying more and more success, with sales numbers always positive, thanks above all to interesting proposals, aesthetically beautiful and with prices within the reach of many.
The 400/500 have found fertile ground, whether road or offroad, and in the "industrious Brianza" they have noticed it, which is precisely why today we are talking about F.B. World Cup.
The Piega 452 represents for this company a first step into the world of large, or at least medium, displacements, a small one with higher displacement contents, interesting for its design, and also for a series of technical contents that distinguish it from direct competition.
The design is the work of Rodolfo Frascoli, who managed to give a very precise identity to the Piega 452, even without disturbing the lenticular fairing of the rear wheel and the exclusive single-sided swingarm, the lines of this Mondial are easily recognizable and streamlined towards the 'front.
The optical unit with overlapping headlights recalls that of the Honda-powered Piega 1000 of the early 2000s, while the wings reflect a very current trend. The rear is characterized by the choreography (not only aesthetically), double exhaust terminal, and by the lack of the rear light unit, with the direction indicators, which also act as position/stop.
The forward-facing parallel twin of the Piega 452 is produced by CF Moto to Mondial specifications, 449.5 cc (bore x stroke 72x55.2 mm), liquid-cooled, 4-valve distribution for a power of 46.5 hp (34, 2 kW) at 10,000 rpm and with a maximum torque of 39.1 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
Crankshaft with crank mechanism staggered by 270° and two countershafts to dampen vibrations, and exhaust sound guaranteed by the double conical-shaped stainless steel trumpet.
The gearbox is a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and lever effort reduction system. Also present is TCS (Traction Control), which can be deactivated via a selectable dedicated riding mode. The 5" TFT color screen has a customizable layout, automatic day/night mode, and in addition to information on the gear (speed, km, petrol, etc.), it allows you to read the tire pressure in real time and manage the riding mode on two Racing and Piega configurations, it also allows smartphone connectivity and screen mirroring.
The chassis is characterized by a single-sided aluminum swingarm, supported by a preload-adjustable monoshock mounted on progressive linkages.
The 41mm diameter upside-down fork and 120mm travel (equal to the rear suspension).
Original equipment tyres, Pirelli Angel GT, 120/70-17" at the front and 160/60-17" at the rear.
The braking department includes a 320 mm disc braked by a 4-piston Brembo radial caliper operated in turn by a radial master cylinder, at the rear there is a 240 mm disc with a 2-piston floating caliper.
The wheelbase is very compact, 1355 mm.
