Howard Miller Ships Bell Clock Repair

This is a Howard Miller Ships Bell Clock, not the Seth Tomas clock I said in the video. (Rookie Mistake). Not understanding how the bells worked, I was just guessing that it didn't ring right. This clock was a little overwhelming to work on because of all the levers that did different things that I had ever worked on. Just Remember to take a lot of pictures. I have the clock cleaned and oiled and running fine now, but still have to do some small adjustments to the levers to get the clock to have one bell extra on the 1/2 hour.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not succoring the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
