Our smallest field of the year thus far presented us with a bit of a challenge, as there weren't enough kids to make a two division, double stepladder quite work. So we went with an alternate format this week. We divided the 9 kids into three groups -- Girls, Boys and Lower Average players -- and had them bowl two qualifying games. The players were seeded in the three divisions, and the 1st place players in each division were teamed up into one team, the 2nd place players in each division were teamed together, and the third place finishers were teamed up. Those three teams compete today in a Baker-style stepladder, with each match consisting of two games, with total pins deciding the winner.
