🚴♂️ AliExpress Aero Water Bottles – Worth It or Waste of Money?
In this video, I review and compare 3 AliExpress aero water bottles — including Trek RSL Aero Bottle clones from Ahyka and two Elite Chrono CX style bottle clones. Are they actually aero? Are they safe? Do they save watts? I cover it all.
🧪 Tested Bottles:
Ahyka Trek RSL Clone – 90g (bottle) + 39g (cage), 600mL, strong locking, great grip, low leakage

Elite Chrono Style 1 – 98g (bottle) + 18g (cage), 500mL, less secure, looks great, less grippy, can eject on bumps

Elite Chrono Style 2 – 82g (bottle) + 18g (cage), 500mL, grippy, lightest but leaks

🔎 Covered in This Video:
Wind tunnel data from Trek (1.8 watts saved per pair)
Real-world testing on Aussie roads since 2022
Pros & cons for racing, solo rides, and aesthetics
📌 Final Verdict: Go with the Ahyka bottle if you value security, ease of use, and aero gains. Skip the plastic Elite-style locking systems — they’re unreliable.
