This is a little bit of an homage to 10 Things I hate About You. It doesn’t follow the storyline of the movie or anything, but I’ve been receiving requests for another teen AU, and when I was thinking about a good song for a teen love story, this cover, made for the movie, was the first song that came to mind. There’s a bit of a time jump for the ending.


Summary:
Bucky is the school outcast. He’s a comic book nerd, from the poor side of town, and openly gay. He’s the poster boy for bullying. When new guy Steve comes along, he’s instantly popular, in with the in crowd, as the saying goes. He tries to befriend Bucky, but Bucky resists. What could Mr. Popular possibly want with him?
Slowly but surely Steve proves himself, and it’s revealed that not only is Steve gay too, but he wants Bucky back.
