What is Devops?
DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development ( Dev) and IT operations ( Ops ). It aims to shorten the systems development life cycle and provide continuous delivery with high software quality. DevOps is complementary with Agile software development; several DevOps aspects came from Agile methodology.
DevOps initiatives can create cultural changes in companies[27] by transforming the way operations, developers, and testers collaborate during the development and delivery processes.[1] Getting these groups to work cohesively is a critical challenge in enterprise DevOps adoption.[28][29] DevOps is as much about culture, as it is about the toolchain.[30]
