Irritatingly the first stop at the bus station was closed meaning I had to contend with a lot of people at the stop on Golders Green Road to get the seat I wanted for recording. The 240 soon arrived with a lot of people waiting for it, and the bus driver stopped nowhere near me. Typical. Luckily, another 240 was due in three minutes - seemed to be in a bit of bother, that route. I'm glad I took the second bus anyway, the first one looked full of noisy schoolkids when we finally did catch up with it.
Sadly, as the buses were so close to each other (the 240 is timetabled to run every 12 minutes) the driver was driving very slowly. It was almost frustrating, and I actually had to split the recordings into two time lapses. The journey took about 55 minutes, more than the 189 which passes through many more traffic hotspots than the 240, which is saying something. I appreciate that route 240 is just under a mile longer than the 189 though.
The 240 is a great route, however. Just get a fast driver.
It was a rather depressing overcast day at the time of recording, so I guess why the time lapse looks quite pale. Or maybe it was just the windows.
