Another Plastic welding project. In this episode we not only show how the Sunvisor vanity mirror cover is removed and disassembled. We also endulge in some easy plastic welding to address a floppy flap.

This is a common fault in the X100 cars and many other Jaguars. Fortunately its caused not by a complete breakage of any particullar component, but by the metal clips becoming dislodged and no longer acting on the plastic cam that forms part of the vanity mirror cover. This video is also useful if your vanity lights no longer turn on when the flap is raised, as youu can see the working of the switch mechanism, and how to access the lamps and therefore replace them.
