The Last Samurai visits Kousanji temple in Ikuchijima island, Onomichi city, Hiroshima and introduces the tunnel of Hell. Kousanji temple was founded by a Kousanji Kozo who used to be the president of a company which produces big steel pipes for sewage or ships. He became a monk when his mother died at the age of 42 in 1934 and later built this temple. In this temple there is the tunnel introducing how Hell is organized or the stages of a soul, or the way to be a Buddha. You can learn these philosophies of Buddhism through this tunnel.
