Deep in the woods of Fairfax County, Virginia, near a now-infamous location called Bunnyman Bridge, lurks the ghostly figure of a man dressed in a tattered white rabbit suit, wielding a blood-stained axe.

According to the most chilling version of the legend, in the early 1900s, a nearby asylum was shut down, and its inmates were transferred to a new facility. But during the transport, the bus crashed, and several convicts escaped into the forest. All were eventually recaptured—except one.
