This is the fourth video in a series on how to build a bait boat.
PART 4:
In this episode we will completely prepare the upper hull. The upper hull will have connectors so we can mount it onto the lower hull when that is also completed.
In addition a really easy way to add an additional button to the boat which we can use to open the bait tray. Personally I cannot even count how often I have sat on my knees behind the boat - wanted to open the tray to put the hook en lead inside - only to realize my tablet is too far away or that I forgot the remote in my chair.
Please note that the solution explained has a limitation: It will only work if the remote is turned on, or the Carp Pilot Pro is started and connected (you can initiate that bait tray servo easily by a setting in Carp Pilot Pro). Anyway, this tip was shared to me and I found it so good that I decided to add it to the upper hull video. Because that's where the button should be mounted if you decide to add one yourself.
Please note that I will make the videos as the boat build progresses. It will take some time, and videos will thus become public over a period in time.
Videos planned to follow up after this introduction:
Part 1: Overview
Part 2: Preparing a pixhawk before we put it into the boat
Part 3: Walkthrough of the additional components bought and printed
Part 4: Building the upper hull (from parts to complete)
Part 5: Installing lower hull parts
Part 6: Adding the lower hull power and signalling system
Part 7: Finalizing boat configuration
Part 8: Combining upper and lower hulls and gluing
Part 9: Settings in Carp Pilot Pro to fully support all boat features
