Spanning from West Painting to Traditional Chinese Painting during his art-learning process, while being able to handle the characteristics of both materials skillfully and to operate the correlated painting techniques with precision, Liou Jer-Jyh has prepared himself with the relative advantage of benefitting from the both sides when forming artistic style, and therefore foretelling the all-embracing property of his works.
文化大學美術系畢業、臺中教育大學美術研究所碩士。提卡藝術中心負責人、台灣中部美術協會理事長、台中市美術協會理事長、台灣普羅藝術交流協會前理事長、中華亞太水彩藝術協會正式會員、第25屆中興文藝獎章西畫類得主、第七屆太平洋文教基金會藝術新秀獎、國內外個展35回，聯展百餘回。
