Emma wrote about her 1896 Tonk Brothers Guitar bought at Fanny's House of Music in Nashville. She found etching on the back of the guitar and learned that it was a gift to F.M. Dearing for his birthday. After a bit of research, she found that name from her hometown in Columbia, MO where she grew up. The guitar, had seemingly found its way back 'home', prompting her to write a song called 'Past Life'.
