Another bridge fishing adventure while the yellow jack / mackerel bite is strong and my wrist continues to recover.
Sandra, Icy, Julio and I awoke early to make the drive down into the Florida Keys to hopefully find some more fish for the cooler. Arriving shortly after daybreak, we headed out to one of our favorite spots where some of Icy's friends were already set up. (My apologies for not remembering their names.)
It wasn't long before we were on the fish. The yellow jacks, a delicious cousin to the much less desirable jack crevelle, were hitting hard on the shrimp we were offering. The mackerels were elusive, the muttons short and scarce and the one hog fish I caught was short and out of season. Go figure!
To top it off, the bull sharks were in full force as was expected. We did have some fun with Sandra as we set her up for a little action with a bull. The end teaser has a link to Icy's video of her fight. Be sure to check it out. We all had a great time out there together, enjoying a common enjoyment of fishing.
You'll notice in this video that my wrist is still a bit weak. As soon as it has recovered well enough, I'll be back out in the KW.
Thanks as always for watching.
Wishing everyone bent rods and tight lines,
~ Jim
