The modernization of Indian Railways reached a new milestone today as PM Narendra Modi Ji flagged off India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train {Guwahati (Kamakhya) 🔁 Howrah} from Malda, West Bengal .
Along with this historic launch, several Amrit Bharat Express train services were also introduced to boost connectivity across the country.
🚆 New Amrit Bharat Express Trains Launched:
Four new long‑distance Amrit Bharat Express routes introduced for better national connectivity:
1. New Jalpaiguri 🔁 Nagercoil
2. New Jalpaiguri 🔁 Tiruchirappalli
3. Alipurduar 🔁 Bengaluru
4. Alipurduar 🔁 Mumbai
Current Railway Modernisation Milestones:
▪️Over 150 Vande Bharat trains already running across India.
▪️Rapid electrification of tracks and modernization of railway stations.
▪️Development of a high‑speed and modern train network benefitting especially the poor and middle‑class families.
▪️Foreign tourists now documenting and praising India's railway transformation.
