First: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is ordering food and drug makers to remove a coloring called Red No. 3 from food products. The chemical had long been banned in skin products but still is used in some foods. Jill Robbins reports.

Then: Researchers recently published a study on the Celtic society in England that existed more than 2000 years ago. They say, Celtic men might have been more likely to join their wives’ social group, a finding that conflicts with earlier studies of similar societies in other places. John Russell has the details. Next: Meta is changing how it identifies misinformation and harmful material published on its Facebook, Instagram, and Threads services. Instead of using third-party fact-checking organizations, the company will use a “Community Notes” system similar to that used by the social media service X.
