Exploratory Learning Environments (such as some games and simulations) give students much agency and control over their learning process. As such, they typically offer a non-linear design space and ill-defined solution space. These attributes also make it challenging for AI to interpret learning trajectories and offer meaningful support.
In this participatory session we will discuss the following assertion: AI will transform Exploratory Learning Environments into the main mode of instruction in schools. Participants and audience will debate the pros and cons of this statement, until we figure it all out.
