Why Does Love Live FEEL Separated?

With the Love Live series expanding into different territories, they've grown into a true multimedia franchise that does everything you can possibly think of. It's a very big jump from their start from Muse, but as a fan of Love Live that looks at the series from a general viewpoint, I've noticed some of the consequences of a series expanding like Love Live, and I'd love to talk about it.
