This footage was created on a tour about 10 months ago now! Even though the sound quality is not great I've decided to put it up as there is not much other footage of the full 12 at Leicester Cathedral.
This was originally a parish church, and was made the cathedral of the new Leicester Diocese in the early 20th century.
The building is essentially medieval though fully restored and the magnificent slender tower and spire is entirely Victorian.
The bells and whole installation date from 1937, and replace a previous ring of 10.
The tenor weighs 25-0-20 (1279kg) and sounds the note D (581 Hz)
