The BrailleSense 6, Braille note taker from HIMS | Henshaws Knowledge Village

In this video, Alice and Mark talk about the BrailleSense 6 from HIMS, which can be bought from Sight And Sound in the UK.
It is a powerful and versatile braille note taker that has 32 Braille cells, running the Android operating system (Android 10). It has many features including a word processor, notepad, email client, web browser and calculator, as well as the Play Store so you can download apps that run on the Android platform.
It is a perfect example of specialist and mainstream technology coming together!
Alice gives her personal view of the device and what she likes about it, as well as where she feels it fits into her daily life, and how it fits alongside other technology she uses.

Keystrokes for functions mentioned in the video (as copied from the user manual):
Voice on/off: Backspace-F2
Braille on/off: Backspace-F3
Move to the next control in a dialog box: Tab (Space-4-5 or F3)
Move to the previous control in the dialog box: Shift-tab (Space-1-2 or Space-F3)
Move to the previous line/item: Space-1
Move to the next line/item: Space-4
Scroll back: Up scroll button
Scroll forward: Down scroll button
Move the cursor to a specific cell or list item: press the corresponding cursor routing key
Escape: Space-e (Space-1-5) or F4
Exit: Space-z (dots 1-3-5-6)
