I came to the beach when I had a free morning/afternoon during my weekend trip to San Diego for some pas de deux classes
1 because I love coming to the beach in San Diego
2 because I’ve been having a knee injury for like two weeks ish and I wanted to get some sand, sun and surf healing
however this was during a full moon so the waves were to wild to enter
I had planned to film a dance video (even though I was in pain) because I thought I can still do something even with this limitation
but while I was getting clips for that video I let myself just have fun playing at the shore and I had a Beach Boys song come into my head
I can’t remember which one, it might have been this one
then I started getting clips of the scenery for this idea
I normally play with filters and effects just to see if it helps with lighting or a vibe, but this natural silvery tone fits so well
my face is kind of hidden with shadows, that’s what I was trying to fix, but actually it fits with this song
This song always resonated with me, the lyrics could have come from one of the many times I thought, “I guess I just wasn’t made for these times….”
