We visited a very unique restaurant located in countryside Japan almost 35 minutes away from Kanazawa Station in Ishikawa prefecture. It is right next to Hakusan Hime Shrine, a very sacred place and one of Japan's power spots. The place is well known for serving kamameshi which is traditional Japanese rice cooked in iron pot. The restaurant's name is "Morishige Kamameshi Restaurant", Morishige is the name of the owner who is also the master and serves the customers himself with 3 other staff. We visited there in August so we had eel kamameshi and raw koi fish sashimi. Fishes from this region are surprisingly fresh and even Japanese people who are living in different prefectures often visit here to get some fresh seasonal fishes.
