Soap is a man made detergent. Soaps are of two types . Hard soap is a sodium salt of fatty acids and it is used for washing clothes .In this experiment NaOH solution ,coconut oil and salt solution are mixed and boiled. The chemical reaction takes place and soap is formed .This is preparation of washing soap in laboratory.
