Melbourne to Byron Bay road trip with Heather-Rain

Join me on another epic Aussie adventure! This time I threw the future wife into the van, and ventured up to the glorious Byron Bay to visit my brother Dan. As well as visiting James Rush in his home away from home to film a Mikey Talk episode.

Along the way we camped out in the van, smashed some parma's (steak for the lady), and had some good old fashioned fun in nature. Also stopped by the Velflex showroom for a little visit. The magical place were all the Good Ideas puff print comes from.

While up in Byron, we were hosted by the Gold Coast Suns for a footy match and tour of their HQ. Made sure to stop in to Merchants of the Sun on the way so Heather could keep blinging up and breaking the bank.

We spent most of our hard earned cash on food, but that is what it is best for :) - Highlights;
The Sir George - Parma so good we had to stop again on the way home
Mez Club - $2 Happy Hour Oysters & Cocktails
Pixie Italian - I usually hate pasta and never order it, but this slapped
The Farm - Unreal feed me option had us too full we felt sick. Got to see the bin chickens make the most of leftovers and real life turkeys in the garden
G-Free Donuts - Smashed these at the footy and Jesus they were AMAZING
Flora Foods - Stocked up on Crum (a healthy alternative to Milo), pantry is full back in Melbourne now. Which won't last long.

No arguments were had, except for times playing Unstable Unicorns. No matter if I won or lost (usually won), it seemed to end in near punch-ons and hurt feelings.

For anyone doing a similar road trip, I can recommend Waves Campground and Trial Bay Gaol campground as budget sites if you get smelly and eventually need a shower like Miss Rain.
