The forgotten Superboss.
Leva'el is stubbornly resistant or immune to all debuffs, including Debuff Resist Down.. It is also located in Cauldros Water, Battle Probes do not work here! This makes the fight significantly more challenging than other Superbosses as you lose a lot of Elemental Resistance and cannot conistently debuff Leva'el.
It becomes invincible until you kill the satellite hiding under it and Apocalypse Wand instantly kills all of your Skells! This move ignores all resistances and Reflect, it cannot be blocked in any way. You actually need to kill this quickly. To make matters worse it has multiple damage types (Beam, Electric, and Thermal), summons Seidrs and Galdrs, and inflicts Beam Resist Down V. It may not possible to completely resist all damage types the entire fight.
But of course Leva'el wouldn't be complete without Resistances to all damage types. He resist all elements with the exception of Gravity which it has 0 resistance to (unfortunately this attribute is underpowered and rare on Skell weapons). Luxaar's Xern has weaknesses to 3 damage types. Oddly enough Beam, his main damage type, is one of the better options here.
To make this a bit easier you may use the Seidrs and Galdrs that spawn to quickly build up GP. (I intentionally left a Crush.GP XX augment on) These do not actually seem to do much damage despite being lv. 79-81.
Outside of those differences it is basically just another Xern with 8 million health. It uses many of the same attacks, has the same body, and simply sits there.
It will actually move up a bit during combat (this is why I had to keep going higher) but there is no way to move Leva'el closer to the ground.. it flies too high to hit with any ground attacks, also touching this thing outside of your Skell instantly kills you! I already tried blowing up my Skell and landing on top of Leva'el..
Running into it with a Skell simply inflicts Topple so you will need to be careful when manuevering around here. It is also pointless to activate overdrive immediately unless you can one-shot Leva'el. I recommend waiting until it's barrier is down.
I just threw 3 Beam Resist XX and an Electric Resist XX on my farming skell.. this thing seems to do a lot more damage as time passes, the faster you can kill it the less you can worry about resistances.
This Skell also effectively rips Vortice and Nardacyon to shreds. No Superweapons or Diskbombs needed. The Masterma actually has Beam Reflect during overdrive making it the best option here.
You can only get the Xern Holofigure here, Luxaar's Xern does not have any unique drops. Leva'el can also drop Reflect Electric and Beam Augments for Skells, the unique drop pool and multiple phases would indicate that it is indeed a Superboss.
I tried this fight with my Ares 90 with basically the same augments. I have only won once because I got lucky with a lot of Cockpits allowing me to spam the Aghasura Cannon. The Ares does not have the right resistances and only has 2 viable weapons during this fight, you do not have the right tools to deal with multiple enemies and Leva'el at the same time.
You will want numerous weapons with short cooldowns equipped during this fight. Being stuck in cooldown without overdrive here is a very bad situation to be in.
