CB750 Side Cover Repair

Honda CB750 Side Cover Repair and painting! Pati takes a HUGE leap forward and now looks very complete as I work to repair and paint side covers to mount on the bike. This video is not intended to be a how to but rather just me thinking through the task at hand and coming up with solutions that best fit this project. There will of course be a lot of different ways to tackle this job so here is simply how I did it.

To repair the covers I first sanded them down and ended with a 120g finish near the repair area. I then cleaned everything before using tape to hold everything in the correct position. From there I used superglue to get the pieces set up. On the backside I used fiberglass that I already had to repair the cracks. I used at least 5 different small pieces for cover and feel it is a strong repair. Once set up I painted them with SEM primer, a custom mixed paint, and Spray max 2k clear before doing a polish for final finish.

With the covers repaired I finished the job with some early badges I also sourced used to fit the look I'm after. The early badges look better to me so it was a fun detail to go after. Once mounted the bike looks so much more complete than it did before and I am super happy with the results! Stay tuned for lots more CB750 content as I continually work to improve this bike.
