[ Cytoid ] lGDr03: 懐かしき東方の血　～ Sic World (EX Lv.15+) Unranked 99.88%

Without a doubt my least favorite chart in the whole album collection. There are a lot of elements in this that I either don't vibe with, or outright just don't like, leading me to 'settle' for this 99.88. Let's start at the top.

Starting out the beginning of the chart is quite innocent, and I like the song quite a lot, it's quite fun to listen to! At 0:32, we begin to see drags placed on 8ths, which is a pattern I generally dislike. It's very hard to read and even harder to consistently execute. 1:11 puts this into full swing, the drag replacements are quite annoying to play and are very tiring as well.

At 1:40, the first hard part of the chart comes, an EXTREMELY hard to read trill full of paradiddles and weird jacks that is TWENTY SECONDS LONG. I've always struggled with these types of patterns and this one is certainly no exception. I strongly dislike playing this part.

After a fairly innocent bridge, we get into the signature guitar solo part. Another drag 8th part at 2:32, this one the hardest of them all, there is very little skill involved, and a lot of luck. A pretty easy stair part into what is definitely the best section in the chart (and song). 2:52 is charted perfectly, it is extremely satisfying to hit this part, every gap between every note feels like a work of art, sadly it transitions into a shockingly hard stair trill part. This is actually one of the hardest stair sections in the whole album.

Surviving all that, at 3:26 there is a second twenty second long paradiddle death trill, with some variants to the pattern making it generally even harder than the first. I cannot understate how un-fun these two sections are for me to play, I'm not a fan!

Finally, the end is a simple callback to the beginning of the chart, it is quite easy and the chart ends in a decently satisfying way.

I kept putting this chart off, I initially wanted to upload lGDr07 last (excluding 8) to "cap things off" but I disliked grinding this chart so much that I simply... well... didn't.

Practice Mode (or Unranked) is an alternate timing mode in Cytoid that copies the original timings found in Cytus & Cytus II. Getting a 100% accuracy play in Practice Mode is the same difficulty as a 100TP in Cytus. This mode is how I prefer to play.
