Autumn Snow-An original Drop D composition by Scott Balsai

This is another live "parlor concert" video of Scott Balsai playing another of his original fingerstyle guitar compositions off of his CD, "Waiting for the Sun".
The piece is titled " Autumn Snow" and is in the drop D tuning.
It starts with a soft "waiting" intro indicative of a still white sky in anticipation of a coming snow squall. The snow begins to fall slowly and softly with Scott's use of 7th fret harmonics. The energy then begins to increase as the snow storm intensifies until the end when the storm begins to fade away with a few more vagrant harmonic snow flakes.
While Idaho, and much of the western Rockies, seem to be locked in a winter killing high pressure this year, maybe thinking about it snowing will....help.
(Note: Scott tunes his guitars about one whole step down from the actual pitch denoted by the tuning designation.)
This video was recorded and posted on January 22, 2025.
This video was recorded using only his RODE stereo microphone mounted on a Nikon camera. Scott was also plugged into one AER Compact Mobile acoustic amplifier. Like his other videos, it was not mixed or mastered for sound but was recorded live and posted here on You Tube.
On this video Scott uses his Taylor K14 ce from 2002.
