President Trump has unveiled a new “Trump-class” of warship at a ceremony in Mar-a-Lago, saying the vessel would become the flagship of the US Navy. The president interrupted his winter break in Florida to christen two battleships, declaring them the “largest we’ve ever built”. The first ship in the Trump-class will be named the USS Defiant, and each frigate is expected to cost at least $5 billion each. There will eventually be 20 to 25 frigates in the Trump-class, the president said.
