WarioWare D.I.Y. - Design Challenge #8 (America) - Cool Jobs - 1 of 2

I must admit; I procrastinated doing this. Typing up descriptions for WarioWare D.I.Y. is such a drag because I spend 30 to 40 minutes just looking up microgame names and their authors and making sure I got each of them right.

This Design Challenge only has 24 winners, however, so I've split them up into two shelves with 12 games each. This should be a bit easier.

1. "Taste Tester" from G-Bomber: Don't make the same mistake I did and pick the weird food! Just because you're a taste tester doesn't mean you have to test everything in front of you. Isn't that supposed to be what a taste tester does, so that the royalty doesn't get poisoned?

2. "A Cool Job!" from ACFan120: I can see how the person who made this is a fan of air conditioning units--you win by doing absolutely nothing at all. Any click will cause you to lose the game.

3. "ROCK HERO!" from JUAN: This is easier than it looks, thankfully. I thought that you had to line them up perfectly, as it's one of those mcirogames where it's either a perfect or a loss.

4. "Master Thief" from Jonathan: Is being a thief really a job? By the way, you click the hand, not the diamond.

5. "GameDesigner" from Penduin: Doesn't matter what you put in; anything will work. Same creator as "Schmoe Machine," isn't it?

6. "SANTA LANDS" from Rich T: I personally do not think Santa Claus has a cool job. He's famous, but for one night of the year, he's got the toughest job in the world.

7. "Paint Shoppe" from Ian: To get white, you combine all three. Though technically, if you combined equal parts red, blue, and yellow, you ger a deep maroon because yellow is a weaker color than blue, and blue slightly weaker than red.

8. "Starfox X DK" from Mike: A creative concept and certainly Fox McCloud must enjoy his lie of work, but couldn't we have clicked on the whole Arwing and not just that flashing triangle?

9. "Nerd Bouncer from Kevin: I don't know about you, but I find the idea of a musclebound nerd bouncer hilarious. And the graffiti.

10. "Monkey Man" from Mike: Presumably a different Mike than the one who made Starfox X DK.

11. "Stand-up guy" from N8DoGG: It took me some time to figure out what's going on here. You need to click on the laughs. Which makes me wonder--what happens if such a stand-up comedian couldn't get a laugh in the first place? And I don't mean this as a stand-up comedy question.

12. "Crime Scene" from Maximo: I'm quite impressed by the detail in this one. However, I regret that every time the game shows up, the first thing I click on is the correct one. Don't think that you win simply by clicking on any object. Only one is correct each time, and it can be the doorknob, the wall, the window, or the handkerchief. Well, I think that's a handkerchief anyway.
