Golang 1.25: What is new?

What is new in Golang 1.25? Go 1.25 includes many changes to the toolchain, runtime and libraries, new features include changes to the "doc" and "vet", the addition of the experimental package "testing/synctest" to the standard library and more! Please review the official release notes for more details.

There are a lot of features, but there are six I want to call out:

■ New analyzers in "go vet": waitgroup and hostport
■ Container-aware "GOMAXPROCS"
■ New "testing/synctest" package
■ New experimental "encoding/json/v2" package
■ New functions added to "os.Root"
