Welcome back to my channel! Today we're exploring another hidden gem in Tokyo called Kiyosumi Shirakawa.

We start off the vlog with breakfast at Iki Espresso, a favorite brunch spot of mine. I've taken a few groups of friends who visit from Manila and it never disappoints. From there, it's only a short walk to Kiyosumi Gardens, a small oasis on this side of Tokyo. Having been around since the Edo Period, Kiyosumi Gardens underwent so many changes throughout history to become the garden that it is today. Afterwards we walked over to another favorite of mine, the Fukagawa Edo Museum that I discovered with my friend Bella on my first visit to Kiyosumi Shirakawa. The museum's life like replicas and interactive exhibits make you truly feel like you've gone back in time to the Edo Period. It's a must for anyone who wants a more cultural and historical background of the neighborhood. For lunch we biked to Park Stand Tokyo, a small but cozy cafe serving up hearty set meals. I was drawn to the treehouse-esque interiors and I'll definitely be back to sample more of the menu. Since it was about midday, we decided to visit one of Kiyosumi Shirakawa's many coffee shops - Allpress Espresso for a little caffeine boost. Admittedly, I don't know too much about coffee but when I took a coffee aficionado friend of mine, she said she really enjoyed the coffee there so take her word for it! Our last museum for the day was the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT) which is also the annual site of the Tokyo Art Book Fair. The exhibit we attended spanned two floors of the museum, covering the museum's collection of Japanese artists' works from the pre to post war period. Finally, we ended our day with a visit to Smoke Books, a small second hand bookstore just a few minutes away from the museum. Kiyosumi Shirakawa is full of so many things to do, most especially for coffee lovers. It's definitely a hidden gem I think you guys should check out!
