The Nikon ZR made me rethink EVERYTHING...

The new Nikon ZR might be the ultimate B-cam for wildlife filmmaking, underwater shooting, and vlogging. I’ve been running a Red Komodo X as my A-cam, and that's not going to change. However, my b-cam, the Canon R5, is what I've been using for gimbal and underwater work, but the ZR changes everything. With its tiny footprint, massive monitor, internal RED RAW, dual base ISO, 32-bit float audio, and 7.5 stops of IBIS, this camera could replace MULTIPLE rigs in my workflow.
Is the Nikon ZR the perfect B-Cam for wildlife camera people? I think so.

📅 About Me
I’ve spent my 20s working in ecotourism and natural history filmmaking. As a whale-watching captain and naturalist, I’ve been fortunate to film everything from the whale migration in Baja to orca encounters in Alaska. Thanks for following along on my journey!
