🌴 Welcome to Day 10 of our Marella Cruises adventure aboard the Marella Voyager! 🛳️ Today, we docked in the stunning Tortola, British Virgin Islands (BVI), and we were beyond excited for our much-anticipated excursion to Virgin Gorda and The Baths! Join Gemma and me as we explore tropical paradises, uncover hidden beaches, and share all the highs and lows of this adventure.

Morning Bliss on the Marella Voyager ☕
We started our day at The Kitchens on Deck 11, where breakfast is always a treat. 🍳 From fluffy pancakes to made-to-order omelettes, there’s something for everyone. Today, we filmed a bit of the dining experience so you can see the variety of stations during dinner service too – a solid 5 out of 5 from us! After filling up, we headed to our favourite spot, The Coffee Port on Deck 6. It’s the perfect place for a strong morning coffee – the double espressos here are incredible. The staff even know our names and orders by now, which makes it feel like home. 🥰

Our Excursion: Virgin Gorda and The Baths 🚤
At 9 am, we joined our Marella excursion to Virgin Gorda, one of the most famous destinations in the BVIs. The journey involved a scenic 50-minute boat ride across the Sir Francis Drake Channel and a thrilling open-sided bus ride to the iconic National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands.

The highlight of this trip was exploring The Baths, a surreal collection of massive boulders forming grottoes, tunnels, and hidden beaches. 🌊 The first stop was Devil’s Bay Beach, a secluded white-sand paradise. Unfortunately, the sheer number of people on the excursion dampened the experience. 😞 Navigating through The Baths was chaotic, with delays caused by crowds struggling through the narrow, rocky paths. Although we only had about 29 minutes across both beaches, their beauty was undeniable.

Our top tip? If you’re visiting Virgin Gorda, skip the crowds and go independently for a more relaxing experience. The Baths are absolutely worth it, but they deserve more time than what this excursion allowed.

Back to Tortola for a Relaxing Afternoon 🌅
After returning to the port, we freshened up on the ship and ventured out again to explore the shops, bars, and restaurants near the cruise terminal. We stumbled upon Aromas Cigar & Martini Bar, where we enjoyed shisha, cold beers, and breathtaking views of the bay. 🍺✨ This was a lovely, peaceful way to unwind after a hectic excursion.

Dinner at Nonna’s 🍕🍝
Back on the ship, we headed to Nonna’s on Deck 11 for some Italian comfort food. While the portions were a bit small, the freshly made pasta and pizzas were delicious. Still feeling peckish, we couldn’t resist a second dinner at The Kitchens, sampling curries and sides from the Indian station – absolutely divine!

Evening Entertainment 🎶
The night ended with cocktails at our favourite bars on board. 🌟 We even witnessed a fun "horn-off" between the Marella Voyager and a Disney Cruise ship docked next to us – the Disney horn was a clear winner! 🎺

Interesting Facts About Tortola and Virgin Gorda
Tortola is the largest island in the British Virgin Islands and is known for its lush green hills and turquoise waters.

The Baths at Virgin Gorda were formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity, leaving behind unique granite boulders.
