Giro d'Italia 2010 - stage 20 - Bormio to Passo del Tonale, 178 km.
This stage went over the legendary "Passo di Gavia" and finished up the Passo del Tonale. Ivan Basso was back in the pink leaders for the first time since he won the Giro in 2006. He would go on to win the Giro 2010, his biggest victory after his comeback.
Big names like Vinokourov, Sastre and Cadel Evans tried to put their mark on this final mountain stage. But they had to catch a breakaway with Johan Tschopp and the old Gilberto Simoni in his farewell Giro.
