Celebrated Television and Film Actress Dani Deetté joins Jim for an amazing, eye-opening, inspiring and heatfelt conversation and interview on The Jim Masters Show! On this episode, Dani shares how she went from working in the criminal justice system to become a popular and busy Hollywood actress in television and film. She also opens up and her life, shares incredible behind the scenes stories on the sets of some of your favorite TV shows, movies and more and she gets real about her life. She details working through being diagnosed with neurodivergent OCD and shares really impactful and deep ways to navigate through life with it. Dani also shares what it what it is like working on Matlock with Kathy Bates and being on a movie set with Clint Eastwood and with other Hollywood legends.
Dani booked her first role on Greenleaf TV series after moving to Atlanta and dove into the
industry full force. She is most known for her recurring roles as super soldier Gigi on Marvel's The
Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Sheriff Kim Reddick on Netflix's hit show Ozark, and Rori Barnhill
in Season 3 of the USA Network show, The Sinner. She can also be seen in several guest star
appearances including Tulsa King, Matlock, FBI: Most Wanted, and NCIS: New Orleans.
Recently Dani was in On Swift Horses with Daisy Edgar Jones, in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore
2, For All Mankind on Apple TV and Dani Deetté plays Recurring Guest Star Wendy Wysong in 4 episodes of the newest Amazon Prime Video drama TV series The Runarounds .
Now she mentors and coaches other actors and travels bicoastally. Dani is also a passionate
environmental and mental health advocate, and often pulls from real life experiences for her
work. In her free time she loves spending time in nature with family, friends, and animals -
especially her with her dog Link.
Dani Deetté was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan.
She graduated from the Honors College at Michigan State
University with a major in Criminal Justice after spending
her senior year abroad at the University of New South Wales in
Sydney, Australia. Dani got her start in law enforcement after
deciding at age 15 that it was the path for her, but after
several years in the field and having grown up performing she
chose to pursue her creative side - making the transition into
TV and film full-time.
