What's Up, Anglers!?!

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than fishing one of the most iconic lakes in California — Crowley Lake — chasing the legendary Crowley Slam: Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, and the elusive Sacramento Perch.

In this video, I teamed up with Brian from Rick’s Sports Center, the #1 tackle shop in the Eastern Sierra, to fly fish using a deadly secret weapon: the slip bobber rig. A technique quietly whispered among Sierra veterans... but rarely shown on camera.

The American spirit was alive on the water. Fireworks weren’t just in the sky — they were at the end of our lines as these Crowley Lake trout were also in the sky...jumping out of the water - making for a great 4th of July!
