My Choice - Judy & Heidi Falzon: Alazanes Blancos & William Tell Overture

Two selections to enjoy: Alazanes Blancos played by Luis Cobos with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the finale of the William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini.

We're showing highlights of horse riding competitions featuring two very dear friends of ours, Judy and her daughter Heidi Falzon, wife and daughter of Prof. Grazio Falzon of Indiana, USA.

Alazanes Blancos is played by the Spanish Maestro Luis Cobos. Cobos' work is arrangements on existing compositions mostly classical music, traditional Spanish music, and some of his records are of the traditional music of Latin American, Central America, and Mexico.

Gioachino Rossini (1792--1868) was an Italian composer who wrote 39 operas as well as sacred music, chamber music, songs, and some instrumental and piano pieces. One of his popular operas is the William Tell of which we're featuring the Overture. Rossini was nicknamed "The Italian Mozart."
