Joan, an original member of WiVLA since 1994, discussed her life as an artist working in the medium of paper, specifically in the discipline of origami.
Joan Son has been exploring the art of paper folding since her debut in the windows of Tiffany & Co. in the spring of 1993. Her current work explores the geometry of the crease lines inside the folds. She deconstructs and reconstructs her paintings and photographic images for a closer look and a luminous effect.
