The best farmer's market I've been to is in Alexandria, VA. St. Paul, MN's is outstanding. I'm adding Albuquerque's Downtown Growers' Market in Robinson Park across the street from the Arrive Hotel to my list of "Best Farmer's Markets in America." Check out these roasting Hatch chiles! Green and red chiles are the same, the red ones have just been allowed to age and dry. These chiles come from Mago Farm in Albuquerque.
In addition to delicious, hot, ready-to-eat New Mexican and Native American breakfast items, the selection of baked goods is out of this world. Lots of arts and craft products as well.
Robinson Park is also located along historic Route 66 adjacent to a very happening portion of downtown ABQ with quirky retail shops, murals, and restaurants.
