How to Budget and Track Expenses Successfully

To save money, you need to know how to budget and track expenses. For most people, just setting up a budget doesn’t necessarily lead to any stark changes in their spending. This is why we’ve broken down this tutorial into a couple of separate videos because creating a successful budget means knowing how and when you’re spending.

While most people rely on excel budgets, your first step will be going back to the basics. All you need is a piece of paper and a pen to start tracking your expenses. Once you’ve tracked your expenses, it’ll be easy for you to see how much (and where) you're spending. It’s important to view your spending without judgment. But, it is also important to make changes based on what you feel is valuable and what isn’t.
