The second season of the hit HBO series The Last of Us is out now, and the sophomore season started off with a strong premiere. In the aftermath of Joel’s (Pedro Pascal) fateful decision to save Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and lie to her about what really happened at the end of Season 1, tension is building between them. Five years have passed, and they’ve settled in Jackson with Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) and his Wife Maria (Rutina Wesley). Ellie has a romantic interest in her best friend, Dina (Isabela Merced), and this may lead to something she won’t want to lose.

Season 2, episode 1, introduces a host of new characters in town and a new group of Firefly survivors who are out for vengeance. Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and Owen (Spencer Lord) discuss joining a group in Seattle and continuing to hunt Joel after they get reestablished.
