This video provides step-by-step instructions for replacing the 90-degree quick disconnect water valve on the Furrion FCR20DCAFA RV refrigerator. If you're experiencing issues with water flow or leaks from the valve connection, this guide will walk you through the complete replacement process.
Begin by turning off the water supply to the refrigerator. Locate and remove the blue locking clip from the 90-degree elbow water valve connector, then disconnect the water tubing. Next, remove the vent cover backing by unscrewing the Phillips head screws and setting the cover aside.
With the cover removed, locate the screw securing the water valve to the refrigerator, then remove it and detach the mounting bracket. Disconnect the wire harness and the tubing connected to the orange and gray fittings on the valve.
Install the new water valve by reconnecting the tubing and wire harness. Reinsert the valve into position, ensuring the wiring is out of the way, and secure the bracket with the Phillips screw. Replace the vent cover backing and hand-tighten the screws to hold it in place, then finish by tightening them down.
Finally, insert the water tube into the new valve and secure it with the blue clip. Turn the water supply back on to complete the installation.
