In this video, I’m showing you how I prepare rice husk compost for the garden! I got rice husks (or hulls) from a local beer manufacturer, and because of the fermentation process, they’re sticky and have a bit of rice mixed in. To start the composting process, I placed the husks into a lined crate and covered them with a thin layer of soil—this helps speed things up and keeps critters away.
This natural, nutrient-rich compost will be ready just in time for planting season, and it’s a great way to recycle organic byproducts into something super useful for the garden.
