The plugin we're introducing this time is AutoSway by aescripts + aeplugins.
It's a script for After Effects that extends the Puppet Pin feature to create a swaying effect for things like ropes and hair. The usage is simple: apply Puppet Pins to a layer, switch to AutoSway's Puppet Pin Tool mode, and press execute. This will create a control layer, allowing you to adjust the sway.
You can control parameters such as sway length, sway speed, displacement, and wind settings. In addition to the Puppet Pin Tool mode, there is a Layer Mode that allows you to connect layers for synchronized swaying.
Furthermore, the tutorial covers keyframing the animation of the sway, and introduces AutoSway's original useful tools.
