Yellowstone National Park - Bechler Trail Day 1 Old Faithful to Bechler Canyon, Campsite 9D1

This is Day one of a 6 day trip through the South West corner of Yellowstone National Park. I brought along my wife Stephenie, my sister Tina, and her husband Dan. We started at the Howard Eaton trail, and headed up over Grants Pass, up to Douglas Meadow, past Douglas Knob, and into Bechler Canyon, where we camped at campsite 9D1. Our Nat Geo Trails illustrated Map said it would be a 12ish mile day, which turned out to be a 16.4 mile day. It was a day filled with awesome views, and I caught my first fish of the trip, a tiny 3" Brook Trout, but I caught him fair and square on my fly rod!
